LAWRENCE, KAN. –

Kit Grove has been named assistant coach for the men’s golf team. Grove, who played for Kansas from 1994-97, will take over duties as assistant coach KU head coach Ross Randall announced today.

“I’m really pleased to have Kit join our program,” Randall said. “His excellent teaching and professional playing experience will be really helpful for our players and in our recruiting as well.”

Grove was a three-time letterwinner at Kansas. The Superior, Neb. native, competed on several professional tours including the Sunshine Tour in South Africa and most recently the Grey Goose Gateway Tour in Phoenix, Ariz. In addition to professional golf, Grove served as a assistant golf professional at several golf clubs.

Grove graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in sports management in 1997. While at Kansas he was a three-time all-conference academic standout (1995-97) and an academic All-American in 1997.
