Kale Pick Suffers Leg Injury, Possibly Out Three Weeks

LAWRENCE, Kan. — Kansas backup quarterback Kale Pick suffered a leg injury in the Jayhawks’ game against New Mexico State Saturday and could possibly be out three weeks it was confirmed by Kansas head coach Turner Gill.

Pick, who started the season opener against North Dakota State, came off the bench in the fourth quarter against New Mexico State Saturday. In three appearances this season, the sophomore is 14 of 24 for 153 yards passing. He has also rushed nine times for 25 yards.

In his first start against North Dakota State, Pick was 13 of 22 for 138 yards. He was 0 of 1 against Georgia Tech and did not play at Southern Miss. before coming into the NMSU game in the fourth quarter.
