Rowing to Compete at Head of the Oklahoma

Lawrence, Kansas – Sunday begins the fall season for the Kansas rowing team when it travels to Oklahoma City to compete in the Head of the Oklahoma. The race will begin at 9:15 a.m. and end with the final race at 4:45 p.m. The Jayhawks will enter two boats in the Open Double, four boats in the Open Single, one boat in the Varsity Eight race, and two boats in the Varsity Four race.

The event which takes place on the Oklahoma River is expected to include teams from Harvard, Colorado, Virginia, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Rice, Southern Methodist, Texas, Tulsa and Wichita State.

Kansas will continue its fall season in Rockford, Ill., at the Head of the Rock on Oct. 10, 2004.
