Senior Jenna Kaiser recorded the Big 12 Conference’s best attack percentage so far in league play with a .571 clip versus Missouri on Wednesday and will look to continue her high hitting efficiency as the Kansas volleyball team travels to Texas Tech on Saturday, Oct. 2 for a 6:30 p.m. match.

Kaiser earned her .571 hitting percentage after collecting a season-high 16 kills on no errors, while the Jayhawks recorded a team attack percentage of .340, the second-best clip in conference play so far this season. Over the last two matches, KU has hit .277 on offense, nearly 70 points more than its season average. Sophomore middle blocker Tayler Tolefree has also been an important piece of the offense swinging at a team-high .393 clip through her last three outings.

Complementing the Kansas offense will be the back row freshmen duo of Brianne Riley and Jaime Mathieu. Riley leads the Jayhawks with 3.89 digs per set this season but Mathieu made her career debut at libero Wednesday night versus the Tigers and did not disappoint. The 5-0 defensive specialist led all players with 23 digs and was perfect in service reception. Kansas’ defense has held 11 of its 16 opponents under a .200 attack percentage.

Texas Tech will be providing a free video and radio broadcast of the match at www.TexasTech.com. Live stats are also available on the KU Athletics’ website at www.KUAthletics.com.
