Kansas Women's Basketball Announces Extensive Television Package

Twenty-four of 31 Kansas women’s basketball games this season will be televised, including all 18 contests at Allen Fieldhouse. Kansas will be featured on national television four times as part of one of the most comprehensive TV packages in the country.

Fox Sports Net will air two KU home games as part of the Big 12 Conference package – against Baylor on Jan. 6 and Kansas State on Feb. 18. CSTV will televise two games – at Iowa State on Jan. 3 and against Texas Tech at home on Jan. 31.

Locally, 11 games will be produced and aired by Sunflower Broadband in Lawrence, and six contests will be produced by Metro Sports of Kansas City.

The first chance to see the 2006-07 women’s basketball team in person is Friday, Oct. 13, when the Jayhawks scrimmage during Late Night in the Phog, Kansas’ annual tip-off to the season starts at 6:45 p.m.; gates open at 6 p.m.
