Kansas Soccer Regains Top 10 Status

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The University of Kansas soccer team climbed back into top 10 this week after posting impressive victories over Texas Tech and Baylor in its last two contests.

Over the weekend, the Jayhawks defeated Texas Tech and Baylor by a combine score of 8-0 to improve their record to 11-2-0 and 3-1 in the Big 12.

On Tuesday, the newest batch of national rankings reflected the success of the weekend. In the NSCAA/Adidas top 25, KU moved up from No. 12 to No. 10, while SoccerBuzz placed the `Hawks at No. 9, up from No. 11 last week. Soccer America’s Top 25 placed the Jayhawks at the No. 19 spot, three spots up from last week, while KU appears at 13th this week in the Soccer Times Top 25.

The Jayhawks will be back in action on Friday as they travel to Columbia, Mo., to battle Border Showdown rival Missouri at 7 p.m. at the Audrey J. Walton Soccer Complex.
