Kansas Places Second in Collegiate Eight Night Sprint

Lawrence, KAN.–Kansas rowing had a strong showing in the Collegiate Eight night sprint qualifier with three of the four entries qualifying for the night sprint. In the Night Sprint Kansas placed second behind Tulsa.

The Jayhawks also placed in the top five in the Collegiate Double. Kansas placed fourth, 1:21.37 behind the first place USRowing boat.

“It’s really good competition,” said head coach Rob Catloth. “We performed better than last weekend and the training is coming around. We’re still figuring out who can move the boats.”

Kansas only competed in the Collegiate Eight Night Sprint. The Jayhawks will be back in action again on Sunday, November 2, in Wichita, Kan., at the Frostbite Regatta.
