Women's Basketball Slated For Four National Television Appearances Among 23 Televised Games

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

The Kansas women’s basketball team will remain in 2010-11 one of the nation’s most televised programs.

The Jayhawks will make a minimum of four national television appearances this season; in all, 23 KU games will be televised – the sixth consecutive season that 20 or more KU games will be televised.

Fox Sports Net will televise nationally two games from Allen Fieldhouse – vs. Oklahoma (Jan. 23) and Kansas State (March 5). FSN will also televise the Jayhawks’ game at Nebraska (Jan. 16). The other national telecast will occur when the Big 10 Network airs KU’s contest at Wisconsin Sunday, November 21, at 5 p.m.

KU will play one game on an FSN Regional station – at Colorado (Jan. 12) on FSN-Rocky Mountain.

Metro Sports in Kansas City will air four KU home games – vs. Alabama (Dec. 12), UMKC (Jan. 3), Texas Tech (Jan. 8) and Missouri (Feb. 19).

Sunflower Broadband in Lawrence will air KU’s 14 remaining home games. Coverage on Sunflower begins Sunday, October 31, at 2 p.m., when the Jayhawks play an exhibition game against Fort Hays State.
