PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. –

Senior Ekaterina Morozova and sophomore Dylan Windom won their first doubles match in the main draw of the 2011 ITA/Riviera Women’s All-American Tennis Championships Thursday in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

“I am so proud of Kate and Dylan,” Kansas head coach Amy Hall-Holt said. “They played with so much pride today. They are so pumped and focused on doing well.”

Morozova and Windom downed Pepperdine’s Khunpak Issara and Ale Granillo, 8-4, to advance to the next round. The duo will face the 8th seeded Virginia tandem of Lindsey Hardenbergh and Erin Vierra Friday at 11 a.m. CT.

Morozova and Windom became the first Kansas tennis athletes to be selected straight to the main draw of the All-American Championships since Eveline Hamers qualified in 1990.
