Kansas Women's Basketball Announces 2008-09 Television Schedule

LAWRENCE, Kan. – A television package that features 20 regular season appearances, highlighted by one appearance on ESPN and four games on FoxSportsNet, awaits the 2008-09 Kansas women’s basketball team.
The Jayhawks will have all 15 of their home games televised, in addition to their two exhibition contests in Allen Fieldhouse. Sunflower Cablevision will air 10 of the home contests, including both of the exhibition games.
KU will host Iowa on Tuesday, Nov. 18 on ESPN. The Jayhawks and Hawkeyes will tip-off at 11 a.m., and will be the only women’s basketball game featured in ESPN’s 24 Hours of College Basketball. The Kansas men will also play in the 24-Hour promotion as they will host Florida Gulf Coast at 8 p.m., on ESPNU.
Kansas will make appearances on FoxSportsNet (FSN) in games at UCLA (Dec. 21) and Missouri (Feb. 7) and in home games versus Kansas State (Jan. 24) and Iowa State (Feb. 22). In addition, KU will take on Nebraska (Feb. 28) in Allen Fieldhouse on FSN-Midwest.
Four of the Jayhawks’ home games will be televised by MetroSports, including Houston (Dec. 31), Missouri (Jan. 14), Colorado (Feb. 4) and Oklahoma (Feb. 14).
Additional television appearances await the Jayhawks as the 2009 Big 12 Championship will be aired live on FSN.
