Jayhawks Trail Cowboys at Halftime, 56-7

STILLWATER, Okla. – Kansas trails OklahomaState, 56-7 at the half in its Big 12 road opener at T. Boone Pickens Stadium.

Kansas drove 80 yards on their opening possession of the game to take a 7-0 lead on a 10-yard touchdown pass from sophomore Jordan Webb to senior Tim Biere. However, the lead would be short-lived. OSU scored on every possession of the first half and was aided by four Jayhawk turnovers.

Webb finished the first half 16-for-22 for 163 yards and one touchdown pass. Biere led the Jayhawks with five catches for 61 yards and one the lone touchdown.

OklahomaState quarterback Brandon Weeden led the Cowboys in the first half, going 24-for-28 for 288 yards and five touchdowns. Justin Blackmon hauled in eight receptions for 84 yards and two touchdowns, while Hubert Anyiam caught five passes for 85 yards and two touchdowns.
