KU Swimming and Diving Hits the Road for Two-Meet Competition

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The <?xml:namespace prefix=”st1″ ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags”?>University of Kansas swimming and diving team will hit the road and head to Nebraska for a two-meet rally that will begin with the Big 12 Relays Friday in Lincoln. <?xml:namespace prefix=”o” ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office”?>

After competing in its annual intrasquad meet against one another last week, Kansas is geared up to begin the dual meet season.

“Our swimmers and divers are excited about getting on the road,” head coach Clark Campbell said. “We had a good start on training and it will be good to see where everyone is at in terms of racing.”

Following the Big 12 Relays on Friday, the Jayhawks will travel directly to Omaha for competition in a double-dual meet against the University of Nebraska-Omaha and South Dakota State.

The double-meet will be the first contest between Kansas and the University of Nebraska-Omaha, as well as South Dakota State.
