Help Desk Technician

POSITION TITLE: Help Desk Technician (KU Student Hourly)

STARTING DATE: Immediately

APPOINTMENT: Part time

SALARY: $7.50 per hour

DUTIES: The Help Desk Technician helps Kansas Athletics staff/IT users with technical and administrative questions and problems reported to the Help Desk by telephone, email, or in-person. A significant portion of the work is performed on the telephone at the Help Desk itself, but Help Desk personnel also visit users in their offices to work on solutions in-person.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED Intermediate-level technical knowledge of personal computer hardware and software, including Windows and Mac systems. At least one year of hands-on experience in the installation, configuration, and support of personal computer hardware, software, peripherals, and operating systems is required.

PREFERRED Successful completion of Microsoft-authorized courses and/or other software application coursework.
