Kansas Women's Golf Improves to Eighth Place Following Round Two of Price's "Give `Em Five"

LAS CRUCES, N.M.—Kansas women’s golf moved up two spots to eighth place after improved performances from Senior Jennifer Clark and Junior Katy Nugent in the second round at the Price’s “Give ‘Em Five” Intercollegiate in Las Cruces, N.M., on Tuesday.
As a team, the Jayhawks improved by two strokes moving from 302 to 300 Monday to Tuesday. Clark improved from a first round 77 to a 74 in round two; moving from a tie for 41st to a tie for 34th. Nugent shot a 75 on Tuesday, two strokes better than her 77 on Monday and remains tied for 41st.
Seniors Meghna Bal and Grace Thiry who were tried for 18th after round each fell in the standings after the second round. Bal shot a second round 75 and moved back five spots to a tie for 23rd. Shooting a second round 76, Thiry is now in a tie for 30th.
Redshirt freshman Thanuttra Boonraksasat is tied for 59th firing rounds of 77 and 80 the last two days.
Playing as an individual, freshman Meghan Potee is in a tie for tenth after shooting a 69 in the second round. Potee’s 69 is the best round by a freshman at KU.
Kansas will wrap up play at the Price’s “Give ‘Em Five” with the final round on Wednesday.
