Jayhawks In 17th At The Prestige

The University of Kansas men’s golf team is in 17th place, in an 18-team field, after one rounds of The Prestige at PGA West in La Quinta, Calif. Kansas shot an opening round 309 and was on the last five holes in its second round when play was stopped due to rain.

“We were playing much better in the second round,” head coach Ross Randall said. “We need to come out and perform much better tomorrow to move up the leaderboard.”

UCLA is in first after a 280, while Colorado is in second with a 290.

Freshman Zach Pederson is in a tie for 39th after a 75 in the first round. Senior Pete Krsnich is in a tie for for 61st after a 77. Junior Gary Woodland is in a tie for 70th after shooting a 78. Senior Luke Trammell shot a 79 and is in a tie for 77th. Junior Tyler Docking is in 90th after an 85.
