ESPN360.COM TO COVER 16 KU WOMEN'S BASKETBALL GAMES; 26 GAMES TO BE TELEVISED

ESPN360.com, ESPN’s signature broadband digital sports network, will provide coverage of 16 University of Kansas women’s basketball games during the 2007-08 season as part of one of the most comprehensive TV and broadband packages in the country. KU’s arrangement is among the first in the country with ESPN360.com for women’s college basketball.<?xml:namespace prefix=”o” ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office”?>

In addition to the ESPN360.com coverage, 26 KU women’s games will be televised this season.

ESPN360.com is a 24-hour, seven-days-a-week online destination, delivering more than 2,500 live, global sports events a year. The service is available at no additional charge to fans who receive their high-speed Internet connection from an affiliated service provider. Currently, nearly 17 million homes nationwide have access to ESPN360.com via more than 25 Internet service providers around the country, including AT&T, Verizon, RCN, Frontier, Cavalier, Charter, Mediacom, Conway, Grande Communications and more. It has more than doubled its distribution since August 2006.

This makes it even easier for our fans across the country to see us play.”

CSTV will televise two KU games – at Xavier January 4 and at Baylor January 16. Fox Sports Net will air two KU games as part of the Big 12 Conference package – at Nebraska January 12 and at Missouri February 24.

Metro Sports in Kansas City will air four KU home games – vs. Creighton November 11, OklahomaState January 9, IowaState February 2 and KansasState March 5.

Sunflower Broadband in Lawrence will air the 14 remaining home games. Coverage on Sunflower begins Sunday, November 4, at 4 p.m., when the Jayhawks play an exhibition game against PittsburgState. All games produced by Sunflower Broadband and Metro Sports will be available on ESPN360.com.
