Kansas Travels to Oklahoma Wednesday

Norman, Okla. – Kansas volleyball will look for its second straight Big 12 Conference road win Wednesday as it travels to Oklahoma. The Jayhawks (11-7, 2-7 Big 12) are coming off a 3-2 loss to Border Showdown rival Missouri while the Sooners (9-8, 1-8) picked up their first league victory Saturday with a 3-2 win over Colorado.

Oklahoma Preview
Oklahoma snapped an eight-match Big 12 losing streak by upsetting Colorado in five games Saturday night. The win snapped OU’s worst losing streak in Big 12 history and gave the Sooners their first league victory of the season. OU battled back from a 2-1 deficit against Colorado and was led by Joanna Schmitt’s 20 kills and 18 digs.

OU is 2-3 at home this season with wins over the Buffaloes and Oral Roberts.

The Sooners lead the all-time series against KU 38-21. The Jayhawks hold a five-match win streak over OU, which began on Oct. 25, 2001. With a victory Wednesday, KU would tie its longest win streak over the Sooners (six matches).
