Webb, a senior from Tulsa, Okla., kicked field goals of 48 and 35 yards and added an extra point to help Kansas post a 19-14 win at Colorado on Saturday.

Webb had to hesitate on his approach on the 48-yard attempt as holder Kyle Tucker fielded a high snap before getting the ball down late.

This season, Webb has made 11 of 12 field goals as well as all of his 38 extra point attempts. His lone missed field goal attempt was a 45-yard try against Toledo, but he has made eight straight attempts since then.

In addition, Webb has made 16 of his last 17 field goal attempts dating back to last year. This season he has scored 71 points by himself, while the KU opponents have scored 71 all season long. He ranks 12th in the country in scoring at 10.14 per game and tied for 20th in field goals made at 1.57 per game.

Webb holds school records for career extra points made (131) and attempted (135), while ranking third in career scoring (251), third in career field goals made (40), second in career field goal percentage (74.1) and second in career PAT percentage (97.0).

Webb previously earned the conference honor after he nailed a game-winning 34-yard field goal in overtime to defeat then 25th-ranked IowaState in 2005.

Webb is the second Jayhawk to win the Big 12 honor this year as Marcus Herford shared the award after returning a kickoff for a touchdown against Southeastern Louisiana in early September.

Texas A&M’s Stephen McGee was the league’s offensive player of the week, while Missouri’s Cornelius Brown claimed defensive honors.

Kansas, which is ranked 12th in the Associated Press Poll and 10th in the USA Today/Coaches Poll, will play at Texas A&M on Saturday at 6 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN2.
