LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas redshirt freshman center Jeff Withey will be out 4-6 weeks due to a stress fracture in his right knee, head coach Bill Self announced Thursday.

According to Self, Withey a 7-0 transfer from Arizona who will be eligible following the fall semester, injured his knee earlier in the week.

“Ever since Jeff arrived here last December, he has worked very hard to get bigger and stronger and he won’t let this setback stop him,” Self said. “The doctors tell me they expect a full recovery and they will evaluate his progress after four weeks.”
