Kansas Golf to Wrap Up Fall Season at Landfall Tradition

LAWRENCE, KAN. –

Kansas will finish its fall season this weekend, Oct. 27-29, at the Landfall Tradition at the Jack Nicklaus course at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, N.C. The par-72, 6,982 yard course will play host to the 54-hole, 12 team event.

The Jayhawks have turned in top-five finishes in all four of their events thus far in the fall season. Their season has been highlighted by a third-straight win at the Kansas Invitational and a second-place finish at the Windon Memorial Classic. The strong finishes has enabled Kansas to garner a ranking of 30th nationally by Golfweek.

The fall season has been chalked full of strong performances, including senior Gary Woodland’s top-10 finishes in all four events leading him to his current No. 14 ranking among collegiates. Senior Tyler Docking has turned in fourth place finishes at the Kansas Invitational and Prestige at PGA West. Sophomore Zach Pederson owns KU’s top round this fall when he carded a 66 in the final round at the Windon Memorial Classic.

Woodland, Docking and Pederson will be joined by freshmen Bobby Knowles and Patrick Roth to comprise the roster used at the Landfall Tradition.
