Senior Karina Garlington has collected double-digit kills in each of the last 11 matches and will look to extend that streak when Kansas volleyball (13-9, 4-7 Big 12) travels to Border Showdown rival Missouri (13-8, 5-6 Big 12) on Wednesday, Oct. 27. The match is slated for a 6:30 p.m. start and will be televised on Metro Sports (Sunflower Broadband channel 37 in Lawrence) and Fox Sports Midwest.

Kansas is looking to bounce back after suffering back-to-back losses to top 15 teams last week. Freshman Brianne Riley leads the KU defense with 3.58 digs per set as she returned as the team’s starting libero last Saturday for the first time in seven matches.

Offensively, Garlington paces the squad with 3.51 kills per set, sixth in the Big 12, while junior Allison Mayfield contributes 3.04 kills per set. Redshirt freshman Caroline Jarmoc will be relied on in the middle as she is coming off a .438 attack percentage at Iowa State on Saturday, her seventh contest with a .400-plus hitting efficiency this season. Junior setter Nicole Tate guides the Jayhawk offense with the league’s sixth-best average of 9.46 assists per set.

In the teams’ matchup earlier this year, Kansas topped Missouri in four sets. The Jayhawks will be looking to sweep the season series with Missouri for the first time since 1999.
