Vidal Earns Top 20 Ranking From TopDrawerSoccer.com

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas soccer freshman Ingrid Vidal is ranked the 17th-best freshman in the nation, according to an announcement by TopDrawerSoccer.com on Friday. Vidal is one of only three Big 12 Conference freshmen in the top 20.

In her first season with the Jayhawks, Vidal ranks tied for second in the Big 12 with 11 goals and is tied for third with 27 points. The marks also tie for fourth and fifth, respectively, all-time in a Kansas single season. The Palmira, Colombia native has twice been named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week and owns four game-winning goals in 2011.

Kansas is set to host Oklahoma on Friday, Oct. 28 (today) at 3 p.m. in its regular-season finale. Kids wearing their Halloween costume to the contest will be admitted for free. Seniors Kelsey Clifton, Kortney Clifton and Jordyn Perdue will be honored on the field following the match.
