Kansas Rowing Continues Fall Season at the Head of the Iowa

After two weeks off, the Kansas rowing team continues its fall season at the Head of the Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa on Sunday. The Jayhawks are coming off of a very successful showing at the Head of the Rock where Kansas placed first in three of its five races. Kansas hopes to continue that sucess this weekend.

The last time out, Kansas swept the Novice Single race and also, garnered the top spot in the Open Single race. Kansas would go on to take first place in the Open Double race, 11th and 19th in the Varsity Four race and 11th and 21st in the Varsity Eight race.

This weekend, Kansas will enter ten boats in the Open Single race, two boats in the Novice Four race, three boats in the Open Four race and four boats in the Varsity Eight race. The race is to begin Sunday on the Iowa River and is to include teams from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Drake.
