Oct. 29, 2009

LAWRENCE, Kan.—Kansas rowing travels to Wichita, Kan., on Sunday Nov. 1 for the annual Frostbite Regatta on the Little Arkansas River. The regatta marks the first competition for the novice team this season.

Last fall Kansas took the first three spots in the Varsity Eight and placed in the top three of every race the team entered at the Frostbite Regatta.

The Jayhawks were originally scheduled to compete at both the Frostbite Regatta and the Head of the Hooch on the same weekend. This season’s Frostbite Regatta was originally scheduled for Nov. 8.

Kansas will wrap up the fall season next weekend on Nov. 7 and 8 at the Head of the Hooch in Chattanooga, Tenn.
