Oct. 29, 2010

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

Members from each sport in the athletic department, including the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) and administrators, were on hand to see the Hilltop children and others dressed in costume Friday morning for an early Halloween celebration. Coaches and administrators handed out candy to more than 100 youngsters as the children filed around the Anderson Strength and Conditioning Center with the youngest ones being pulled in wagons.

The children, who came from the Hilltop Child Development Center, ranged in age from one to six. Popular costumes included Spiderman, Sesame Street characters and princesses. Hilltop has provided child care and education for the KU campus since 1972.
