Oct. 29, 2012

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas football will make its ninth-straight national broadcast appearance on Saturday, Nov. 10, when the Jayhawks travel to Texas Tech for an 11 a.m. game. The Big 12 announced television selections Monday and KU’s contest with the Red Raiders garnered the first game in a national triple-header on Fox Sports Net.

The game with Texas Tech will mark the fifth-straight week that the Jayhawks have appeared on FSN and the sixth time total in 2012. KU also faced Rice, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma and Texas in games seen on FSN and will play Baylor on the national sports network this upcoming weekend.

Kansas is traveling to Texas Tech for the first time since the 2009 season, when the Jayhawks fell 42-21. Tech is 12-1 all-time against Kansas, including 5-1 in games played in Lubbock. KU’s lone win in the series, a 34-31 overtime thriller, came in 2001.

The Jayhawks will be looking for their first conference victory of the season Saturday when they travel to Baylor at 2:30 p.m. The game will be televised nationally on Fox Sports Net and can be heard on the Jayhawk Radio Network as well as online, on AT&T Jayhawk All-Access.
