KU Women's Hoops Ranked No. 25 in Coaches Poll

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Head coach Bonnie Henrickson and the Kansas Jayhawks will open the 2012-13 season ranked No. 25 in the nation, according to the preseason USA Today Coaches Top-25 Poll that was released Tuesday.

The Jayhawks ended the 2011-12 season ranked No. 25 in the USA Today Coaches Top-25 Poll following their NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 run after posting wins over Nebraska and Delaware.

Kansas returns four starters from a squad that finished 21-13 last season, including seniors Carolyn Davis and Angel Goodrich. Both Davis and Goodrich were among the 25 NCAA Division I student-athletes named to the 2012-13 Wade Trophy Watch List.

The Jayhawks topped Washburn, 57-35, this past Sunday and will be back in action Sunday, November 4, against Fort Hays State for their final exhibition game. Season tickets are still on sale and can be purchased at KUAthletics.com, or by calling the ticket office at 800-34-HAWKS.
