Swimming and Diving Enters Rankings at No. 23

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

Kansas swimming and diving (2-1), fresh off a third place finish at the Big 12 Relays and an upset victory over No. 21 Arizona State, is now ranked No. 23 in the latest CSCAA swimming poll. It is the first time Kansas is ranked this season, and now two-thirds of the Big 12 are ranked in the Top 25 including No. 4 Texas, No.8 Texas A&M and No. 21 Missouri.

“I think we deserved the ranking based off our early season successes,” said Kansas head coach Clark Campbell.

Kansas will next be in action Saturday at Missouri for the Border Showdown. 1.5 Border Showdown points will be awarded to the winner of the dual between ranked squads. The dual is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Kansas’ next home dual will be against Drury on Friday, Nov., 7 at 6 p.m. KU will follow that up with a dual against Evansville on Saturday, Nov., 8 at 2 p.m.
