KU Travels to Missouri for Border Showdown

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Kansas volleyball will continue its Big 12 road trip in the Border Showdown at Missouri Wednesday. The Jayhawks (13-8, 4-8) are coming off a 3-0 loss at No. 18 Kansas State Saturday, while the Tigers (13-6, 8-4) lost to No. 15 Texas A&M on Oct. 27.

Match time is set for 7 p.m. at the Hearnes Center in Columbia. Gametracker and post-match results will be available on kuathletics.com.

KU leads the 2004-05 Border Showdown 4.5 to 4.0.

Quick Notes

Missouri Preview
The Tigers, who have made four consecutive appearances in the NCAA Tournament, are 13-6 overall and 8-4 in the league. Missouri, one of the best offenses in the nation, leads the Big 12 in kills (17.68 per game) and assists (16.06 per game).

MU, which received 30 votes in this week’s USA Today/CSTV Top 25 Coaches’ Poll, is 8-1 at home this season with its only loss to Kansas State (3-1).

The Kansas/Missouri Series
The Tigers lead the all-time series against KU 37-33. The Tigers won the last meeting 3-2 (Oct. 16 in Lawrence) but neither team has held more than a three-match win streak over the other in the last decade.
