Jayhawks Finish Tied For Seventh Place at The Prestige

LA QUINTA, Calif. –

The Kansas men’s golf team finished in a tie for seventh place, in a 16-team field, at The Prestige at PGA West G.C. in La Quinta, Calif. The Jayhawks posted a final round of 307 to give them a two day score of 925.

UCLA took home the team title after posting a two-day total of 904, followed by UC Davis which carded a 913.

Senior Kevin Ward finished in a tie for fifth place after a two-day total of 223. Sophomore Tyler Docking tied for 28th place after he totaled a 232. Sophomore Gary Woodland finished in a tie for 45th place after shooting a 238 three-round total. Senior Andrew Price shot a three-round total of 239 and tied for 49th place. Sophomore Barrett Martens carded a two-day total of 241 to finish in 56th.

Kansas’ next tournament will be Feb. 9-11 as it begins its spring season at the Taylor Made/Big Island Invitational in Waikoloa, Hawaii.
