KU Soccer Earns Three ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 7 Members

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

University of Kansas senior Caroline Smith and sophomore Colleen Quinn were named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 7 First Team and junior Holly Gault was named to the Second Team, as released on Thursday. Smith and Quinn advance to a national ballot for a chance to be selected an ESPN The Magazine All-American, Smith earned the honor last season.

Smith a human biology/psychology/pre-medicine major, is KU’s all-time leader in goals, assists and points for both a career and single season. All together the Edina, Minn., native holds nine offensive school records.

A business administration/accounting major, Quinn has started ten matches in goal for the Jayhawks. The Fort Collins, Colo., native has a 1.16 goals against average with five shutouts.

A defender, Gault has led KU’s defense to eight shutouts. The pre-medicine/physical therapy major and Spring Hill, Kan., native has also contributed four goals and six assists.
