The Jayhawks entered seven boats in the Championship Double race and came away with the overall top spot. In the Championship Double, KU received two medals for a first and third place finish. Kansas also had another boat place sixth.

The lone Kansas Championship Four boat fared well as it picked up the silver medal for a second place finish. Kansas also entered two boats in the Championship Eight race coming away with an eighth and sixteenth place finish.

“We rowed very well today considering the tough practice conditions that we’ve had to overcome lately,” said head coach Rob Catloth. “There have been repairs to the river dam near our practice facility which has limited our practice. To improve on last year’s performance shows the ability of our team this year.”
