Kansas Football Moves To Fourth In BCS Poll

The 9-0 Jayhawks have a BCS average of 0.8432 to trail number one OhioState (0.9949), second-ranked LSU (0.9411) and third-listed Oregon (0.9180). Oklahoma is fifth at 0.8393.
The Big 12 Conference has three of its teams in the top six of the poll as in addition to Kansas and Oklahoma, Missouri is listed sixth at 0.7431. In addition, Texas is 14th at 0.4399.
The rankings are the highest KU has been listed since being ranked third in the Associated Press poll for three weeks in 1968. Kansas is currently fifth in this week’s AP, USA Today and Harris Interactive polls.
Kansas is one of five schools with both its football and basketball programs ranked in the top 25 of the current USA Today polls, as well as the only school with both in the top five, as the Jayhawk basketball team is fourth in the preseason poll.
Other schools in the top 25 in both football and basketball include Oregon (third in football and 13th in basketball), Texas (14th and 16th), USC (15th and 18th), and Kentucky (22nd and 22nd).
Kansas football will play at OklahomaState on Saturday, Nov. 10 in a game televised nationally on ABC at 7 p.m.
