–Kansas improves to 30-9 all-time in exhibition contests, which includes wins in its last five preseason games. Bonnie Henrickson is 6-1 in exhibition games as the Jayhawks’ head coach.

–Kansas used the starting lineup of Ivana Catic, Danielle McCray, Taylor McIntosh, Sade Morris and Porscha Weddington. The Jayhawks employed the same starting lineup to open the second half.

–The Jayhawks opened the second half by scoring the first eight points. PittsburgState did not score its first points of the half until the 16:01 mark.

–KU led 29-18 at the half. During the regular season last year, the Jayhawks were 8-3 when leading after the first half.

–KU had 23 offensive rebounds and had 55 total boards in the game.

–Sophomore Danielle McCray scored a game-high 20 points. Last season, she scored 20 points or more twice. McCray hit 8-of-13 shots from the field, including 8-for-10 on two-point baskets.

–Sophomore Sade Morris also scored in double-figures with 15 points.

–As a team, Kansas dished out 15 assists, including four each by Ivana Catic and Danielle McCray.

–KU’s defense collected 12 steals and forced 22 PittsburgState turnovers. The Jayhawks turned the 22 turnovers into 30 points.

–Jayhawk freshmen Chakeitha Weldon, Krysten Boogaard and Nicollette Smith all played their first games in the Crimson and Blue. All three freshmen scored points, including nine by Smith.

–Kansas’ bench outscored the Gorillas’ bench, 26-14.
