Quick Notes

Oklahoma Preview
The Sooners will have to rebound from a disappointing four-game loss to TCU on Wednesday. OU fell just short of becoming the first team in program history to record a perfect non-conference season and finished 8-1 outside of Big 12 play.

OU sits at the bottom of the league statistics in both opponent hitting percentage (.246) and digs (14.07). For a win Saturday, KU will have to take advantage of these figures and continue to hit the ball well. The Jayhawks are hitting .225 and average 15.04 digs per game.

The Kansas/Oklahoma Series
The Sooners lead the all-time series against KU 38-22. The Jayhawks hold a six-match win streak over OU, which began on Oct. 25, 2001. The streak is KU’s longest over OU in the teams’ volleyball history. The Sooners have not won in Lawrence since 1997.

The Last Time KU & OU Met…
NORMAN, Okla. – Jana Correa notched 17 kills as Kansas swept Oklahoma Oct. 20, 30-27, 30-28 and 30-23, at the McCasland Fieldhouse. The victory was the second straight road win for the Jayhawks, who improved to 12-7 overall and 3-7 in the Big 12 Conference.

Correa, who suffered a season-ending injury in Norman last year (Oct. 11), also led KU with a career-high .640 attack percentage (1 error, 25 attempts) and added seven digs.

Caten added 15 kills for a .500 hitting percentage (2 e, 26 att) while Josi Lima rounded out the offensive leaders with 13 kills of her own. Jill Dorsey led all defensive players with 15 digs with Lima adding seven in the winning effort.

Andi Rozum dished a match-high 50 assists as the Jayhawks hit .333 and had four aces and 12 service errors. The Sooners (.232 attack percentage) outblocked KU 12.0 to 4.0 and totaled three ball-handling errors.
