KU Unveils 2004-05 Women's Basketball Promotional Events

LAWRENCE, Kan. — The University of Kansas has announced its lineup of promotional events for the 2004-05 women’s basketball home season. A variety of nights are in place for the fans to enjoy during KU women’s basketball gamedays.
“Kansas women’s basketball gamedays are going to exciting this year,” head coach Bonnie Henrickson said. “Our coaches and players have been working very hard to produce a brand of basketball that KU fans will be proud of. These promotions will add to the fun and excitement of being in Allen Fieldhouse.”
In addition to the individual single-game promotions listed below, several season-long programs are also available to fans including the Fun Zone, Junior Jayhawks Kids Club, Birthday in the Fieldhouse as well as entertainment during halftime and timeouts.
The Fun Zone, which is an interactive family area with free activities and prizes are available from the time doors open until tip-off at every home game. Members of the Junior Jayhawk program should be sure to visit the Fun Zone before every game for chances to win prizes courtesy of the team, as well as a chance to meet the players. Birthday in the Fieldhouse is another activity available to youth ages 13 and under, contact the KU marketing office for more information.
KU students will have the opportunity to participate in the Rock Chalk Rewards program. Students can present their Rock Chalk Rewards card (available on the promotional tables in Allen Fieldhouse) upon entrance to each home women’s basketball game and receive prizes for every three games attended.
Prizes include a free food coupon (after three games), a KU t-shirt (after six games), a KUStore.com gift certificate (after nine games), a KU hat (after 12 games), an autographed team basketball (after 15 games) and for those students who attend all 18 games, lunch with the coaching staff and team and the chance to win two tickets to the women’s Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City on March 8-12.
