Jayhawks Trail Kansas State 10-7 at Half

MANHATTAN, Kan. –

Kansas State converted a Jayhawk fumble into a 31-yard touchdown pass from Grant Gregory to Lamark Brown with 20 seconds remaining in the half to take a 10-7 lead into the locker room after the first half of play at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

Kansas has moved the ball consistently through the air, but has three turnovers in the first half. Quarterback Todd Reesing has completed 14-of-22 for 124 yards, including a 17-yard touchdown to senior Dezmon Briscoe in the second quarter. Briscoe leads the Jayhawk receivers with five catches for 60 yards, while fellow senior Kerry Meier has caught four passes for 41 yards.

The Jayhawks have 158 yards total in the first half, and have penetrated Wildcat territory three times, but has just seven points to show for it. Reesing has led the ground attack with five scrambles for 28 yards, but has fumbled twice.
