Kansas to Take Part in All Access: EA Sports Maui Invitational

LAWRENCE, Kan. – EA SPORTSTM and ESPN have teamed up to promote the upcoming EA SPORTSTM Maui Invitational that will feature the University of Kansas men’s basketball team.

The EA SPORTSTM Maui Invitational announced that title sponsor EA SPORTS has created a television series with ESPN titled “All Access: EA SPORTSTM Maui Invitational”. The series will be shown in four, 30-minute episodes on ESPNU throughout November and will chronicle two freshmen from UCLA, Kansas, Memphis and Georgetown as they begin school, start practice, prepare for the season and travel to Maui for the nation’s premier early-season college basketball tournament.

The EA SPORTSTM Maui Invitational is in its 28th year and the field for this season’s tournament is loaded with some of college basketball’s elite programs. The Championship Round includes Island Teams Duke, Georgetown, Kansas, Memphis, Michigan, Tennessee, UCLA and host Chaminade.

All eight teams, including Division II Chaminade, participated in the 2011 NCAA Tournament.

Kansas is looking for its second Maui Invitational Championship in program history, with the first coming in 1996.

Played right next to the Pacific Ocean at Maui’s Lahaina Civic Center, the Maui Invitational takes place Nov. 21-23.

Episode 1: Tue., Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m. EST
Episode 2: Wed., Nov. 16 at 11:30 p.m. EST
Episode 3: Sun., Nov. 20 at 8:00 p.m. EST
Episode 4: Wed., Nov. 30 at 11:30 p.m. EST
