Lamb, Brorsen Named First-Team Academic All-District

LAWRENCE, Kan. — KU wide receiver Jonathan Lamb and defensive end Russell Brorsen were both named first-team Academic All-District for their efforts on the field and in the classroom. Both student-athletes will advance to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America ballot later this month.

Lamb, a senior from Lenexa, Kan., has already completed a degree in human biology and is working towards a second degree in anthropology. He has played in all 10 games this season, hauled in 12 catches and leads the team with an average of 15.8 yards per reception. Lamb, who also returns punts, ranks third in the Big 12 with an average of 12.6 yards per return.

Brorsen, a sophomore from Stillwater, Okla., is working towards a degree in chemistry. He has played in all 10 games and collected 19 total tackles, including 13 solo stops.
