Kansas to Host Drury and UND in Double Dual

LAWRENCE, Kan.-

Kansas swimming and diving returns home for a Saturday afternoon meet against Drury and North Dakota, scheduled for 1 p.m. at Robinson Natatorium. The Jayhawks, who are receiving votes in the College Swimming Coaches Association of America’s top 25 poll, are 0-4 in dual competition, while Drury brings a record of 1-0 and the Fighting Sioux are 5-2.

Last time in the pool, KU recorded three first-place finishes against Big 12 Rivals Missouri, but fell in dual competition to the Tigers 129-165 on Oct. 29. Freshman Alison Lusk took the top spot in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:19.05. Sophomore Rebecca Swank placed first in the 500-yard freestyle (4:53.35), while junior Kath Liggett won the 100-yard butterfly (56.99).

“As our last meet before our fall invite at Georgia, our meet with Drury and North Dakota will be the last chance for us to tune up,” Kansas head Coach Clark Campbell said. “Also, the team is excited to compete for the one and only home meet this semester.”

Following the double dual, KU will travel to Athens, Ga. for the Georgia Fall Invitational Dec. 3-5. Please check back at kuathletics.com for complete results from the three-day meet.
