Position Title: Facilities Maintenance Supervisor (State paid position)
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Appointment: Full time
Salary: $14.22 – $15.69 per hour
Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. plus nights and week-ends as needed for event coverage
Duties: Responsible for organizing and directing operations for six (6) Athletic Department buildings and adjoining playing fields. This position coordinates facilities projects and services with other agencies and evaluates daily operations of the unit.
Required Qualifications:1. Five years of experience in the mechanical or building trades.2. Ability to perform physical tasks consistent with the job duties, either with or without accommodation.3. Available to work overtime for special events as needed including nights and weekends.4. A valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:1. Higher education degree or post high school education (e.g. vocational, associate degree, trade school).2. Proven positive supervisory experience.3. Knowledge of standard practices in building trades; carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc. Knowledge of standard practices in building maintenance, custodial, grounds work, and power plant operation. Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions within a maintenance operation. The knowledge modern principles and practices of public business administration.4. A history of proven positive attendance.
