…makes Kansas 2-0 for the first time since the 2004-05 season and for the third time under Bill Self.

…makes Kansas 4-0 all-time against UMKC, including a 2-0 record in Allen Fieldhouse

…makes Bill Self 107-29 at Kansas and 314-134 overall. Self is now 3-1 against the Kangaroos and 2-0 vs. UMKC while at KU.

Notes

– For the second consecutive game, Kansas used the same starting lineup of Sasha Kaun, Sherron Collins, Mario Chalmers, Russell Robinson and Darrell Arthur.

– Five Jayhawks scored in double figures for the second straight game.

– With his four steals on Sunday night, junior Mario Chalmers moved past Kevin Pritchard into fifth place on KU’s career steals list with 193.

– Chalmers set a new career high with six three-pointers. He had five against Texas last year (3-11-07).

– Chalmers also tied a career-high with his 23 points. He had the same total two season ago against IowaState (2-11-06).

– Collins finished with a career-high seven rebounds, besting his total of six against Texas last season (3-11-07).

– Arthur tallied his third double-double of his career with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

– Arthur also tied a career-high with three steals and set a new career mark with three assists.

– Robinson tied a career-high with nine assists to match his total from 2-21-06 vs. Baylor.

– Robinson also tied career-highs with three three-pointers and six three-point attempts.

– Kansas’ 21 first half free throws were more than they had in the entire game against ULM (19). UMKC had two free throws in the first half.

– Kaun tied a career-high with four blocks and tied his career-best with 13 shots from the charity stripe.

– Kansas has yet to trail in either game this season.

– Ten Jayhawks saw action on Sunday night including seven players logging 10-plus minutes.

– After the Kangaroos closed to within one, 22-21 with just over eight minutes remaining, the Jayhawks went on a 19-9 run to end the first half with a 43-30 lead. UMKC would never again pull within 10 points.
