Postgame Notes

– Freshman Porscha Weddington made her Kansas debut midway through the first half, and finished

– Sophomore forward Marija Zinic scored six of KU’s eight points in the game.

– Freshman guard Kelly Kohn set a new career high with her two assists.

– Several freshman set new career highs in minutes: Sade Morris and Danielle McCray played 21 minutes, Lindsay Ballweg played seven minutes.

– Junior Taylor McIntosh recorded her eighth career double-figure rebounding game with her 10 boards.

– Zinic notched her seventh career double-digit scoring game with her 16 points.

– The WBCA announced their All-Tournament team. It consisted of Zinic, Kristi Smith and Mega Skouby of Iowa, Heta Korpivaara of Seton Hall and Tahnee Balerio of MissouriState. Skouby was named the tournament’s MVP.
