KU Border Showdown Spirit Rally Set for Friday, Nov. 23 in Prairie Village, Kansas

<?xml:namespace prefix=”st1″ ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags”?>LAWRENCE, Kan. – In anticipation of the Nov. 24 football Border Showdown at Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas Athletics and the University of Kansas Alumni Association will host the KU Border Showdown Spirit Rally, Friday, Nov. 23, in Prairie Village, Kan.

The KU Border Showdown Spirit Rally will be held from 7-10 p.m. at the Corinth Square (83rd and Mission Rd.) parking lot in Prairie Village, Kan. The rally will be free of charge to all University alumni, friends and students.

Fans will enjoy football video highlights and special messages from Coach Mark Mangino, senior captain Brandon McAnderson and other Jayhawk greats under the comfort of a large heated tent. The rally will include Memorial Stadium video board features and animation, along with appearances from emcee Marty Wall of 610 Sports Radio, the KU Spirit Squad and Band and the Big Jay and Baby Jay mascots.

Food vendors will be on hand and Alumni Association members who show their membership cards will receive special discounts. Guests will enjoy lots of freebies and drawings, and can stay to enjoy the sounds of the 80s and 90s performed by the popular band, Sellout.
