Kansas Women's Golf Signs Indiana State Champion

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Indiana high school state champion Meghan Potee has signed a national letter of intent to play college golf at Kansas it was announced by Jayhawk Head Coach Erin O’Neil.

Potee, who is from Noblesville, Ind., claimed state medalist honors by five shots in the two-round tournament this fall. Potee was tied for first after the first round with a 76 and then fired a 71 on the second and final day to win the title.

Potee is a two-time all-state selection and won both sectional and regional tournaments her senior year, before leading her team to a third-place finish at the state championship.

Potee is also on the school’s diving team and placed fifth at the state meet her junior year en route to all-state honorable mention honors.

“We are very excited to have her join our team next fall,” O’Neil said. “She brings a lot of athletic ability and experience and is a really great all-around person. She will have a big impact on our team right away.”
