Danielle McCray Named Preseason Second Team All-America By ESPN.com

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas senior guard-forward Danielle McCray was tabbed a preseason Second Team All-American by ESPN.com and its panel of experts Friday.

McCray, who was recently named Preseason Big 12 Player of the Year, averaged an impressive 21.6 points and 7.7 rebounds per game as a junior in helping guide KU to a 22-14 overall mark and a trip to the 2009 WNIT title game.

The Olathe, Kan., native is one of two players from the league to be honored by the site. Danielle Robinson of Oklahoma joined McCray on the second team.

Kansas tips off the 2009-10 season on Sunday, Nov. 15, when it plays host to Oral Roberts. Game time is scheduled for 2 p.m., in Allen Fieldhouse.
