LAWRENCE, Kan. –

The Kanasas football team earned another honor this week. Following the team’s 43-28 victory at <?xml:namespace prefix=”st1″ ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags”?>OklahomaState, CollegeSportsReport.com named the Jayhawks their Division I-FBS National Team of the Week for the week of Nov. 12.

KU’s victory over the Cowboys in Stillwater, Okla., assured the team of its best season since 1995, when it finished 10-2 and toppled UCLA in the Aloha Bowl. On Saturday, senior Marcus Henry hauled in eight catches for 199 yards and three touchdowns, while junior corner back Aqib Talib forced one of four turnovers with an interception late in the fourth quarter.

Talib was named the Big 12’s Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts against the Cowboys.

After the Central Michigan game, CollegeSportsReport.com named KU quarterback Todd Reesing their National Performer of the Week.

Third-ranked Kansas (10-0, 6-0 Big 12) will play host to IowaState this Saturday in a game that will be televised on ABC. Kick off is slated for 2:30 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.
