Kansas‘ win over Oral Roberts…

–Gives Kansas its 32nd season opening win.

–Marks the fifth-straight home-opening win for the Jayhawks.

–Makes Kansas 10-0 versus Oral Roberts.

–Gives KU a 26-4 overall record versus the Summit League.

–Improves Kansas head coach Bonnie Henrickson to 12-1 in season-openers in her KU career.

–Gives Henrickson an 80-79 mark at Kansas and a 238-141 overall record.

–Makes Kansas 677-477 all time.

Game Notes:

— Kansas went on an 11-3 run to start the first half. KU led the Golden Eagles 64-42 at halftime.

–Senior guard Danielle McCray hit four of her first five three-point attempts and scored 21 points in the first half.

–The contest marked the first official action in a KU uniform for freshmen guards Angel Goodrich and Monica Engelman, forwards Annette Davis and Carolyn Davis and junior guard Rhea Codio. Goodrich finished with 10 points and seven assists in 23 minutes.

–The Jayhawks scored 64 points in first half, marking the most since scoring 65 versus Wichita State on Feb. 18, 1979. The 64 points are the fourth-most in Kansas history.

–Sophomore forward Aishah Sutherland scored a career-high 24 points. Her previous career-high was 15 against New Mexico on March 30, 2009.

— All five starters finished in double figures. In addition to McCray, Sutherland and Goodrich, junior center Krysten Boogaard tallied 17 and senior guard Sade Morris recorded 12.

–McCray registered her first double-double of the season with 27 points and 11 rebounds. She has tallied 18 double-doubles in her career, scored 20 or more points in 31 games and led KU in scoring 50 times.

–Kansas’ 106 points match the 106 points scored in the 2008-09 season-opener against Sacred Heart. It marks the second time KU has scored 100-plus points in the Bonnie Henrickson era.

–The Jayhawks scored 18 second-chance points and held the Golden Eagles to zero.
