Just two days after hosting Baylor in Lawrence, Kansas volleyball (16-12, 7-10 Big 12) travels to Texas (20-5, 15-2 Big 12) to face the eighth-ranked Longhorns on Friday, Nov. 19 in a 6:30 p.m. match.

Kansas dropped a four-set decision to Baylor Wednesday evening to halt a two-match winning streak. Senior Karina Garlington led the team in kills for the third-straight match and ranks eighth in the conference with a 3.52 kills per set average on the season. Junior Allison Mayfield and senior Jenna Kaiser contribute 2.88 kills per set and 2.42 kills per set, respectively. The offense is guided by junior setter Nicole Tate, whose 9.96 assists per set are fourth-best in the league.

Freshman Brianne Riley is 10th among Big 12 players averaging 3.95 digs per set. She and the Kansas back row will be facing one of the nation’s top hitting teams as Texas is fifth in the country with a .301 attack percentage.

Kansas trails the all-time series with Texas 28-4 and last defeated the Longhorns in Austin in 2003.
