…Makes KU 4-1 for the first time since 2002-03.
…Improves Kansas to 3-0 in the Las Vegas Invitational and 54-24 all-time in regular-season tournaments.
…Gives KU a 2-1 series advantage against BallState.
…Improves Bill Self to 1-0 against Ball State, 76-25 while at Kansas and 283-130 overall as a head coach.
…Makes Kansas 1,877-778 all-time.
Notes
-Kansas is 3-0 this season with the starting lineup of Darrell Arthur, Mario Chalmers, Russell Robinson, Julian Wright and Brandon Rush.
-Junior Russell Robinson’s seven free throws (7-for-8) marked a KU season high. His 10 points were also a personal season best.
-KU’s 18 offensive rebounds tied a season best (18 against Oral Roberts on Nov. 15).
-Freshman Darrell Arthur has blocked two or more shots in four of KU’s five games.
-Sophomore Julian Wright’s 12 rebounds tied his career high and KU’s season best. Wright
-BallState’s 46 points were the fewest by a Kansas opponent since Missouri scored 46 against the Jayhawks in Lawrence on Feb. 18, 2006. KU has held five foes under 49 points in the Bill Self era.
-The Cardinals’ four assists in the game were the fewest by a Jayhawk foe since KU held Arizona to four at the Maui Invitational on Nov. 21, 2005.
